The menu options work as follows. Users have three options in the File menu. You have the option to import tables and filters, export tables, filters, and charts, or exit from the AquaLink software. The Edit menu has five options. The first is a direct copy of data, the second is copying a chart, third is selecting the visible data rows, fourth is selecting all data, and fifth is visible columns. In the View menu, you can switch between tables and charts, view and change the principal axises, and view your filters.

There are five options in the Device menu. You can toggle connections to different devices, synchronize the time on your AquaLab, download data from the AquaLab, erase data from the AquaLab, and open the model manager. Finally, you have six options in the Help menu. You may go to these AquaLink help files through a direct link, send feedback to Decagon, check for AquaLink 4 software updates, register your copy of AquaLink, and find out your version information in "About AquaLink." Below is a basic layout of the functions in the menu system.

-File- Menu

1.) Open AquaLink4
2.) Click the first Menu item File > Import…
3.) Choose a file to import window displays
4.) Close new window

1.) Click File > Export > Table; You may only export as an Excel or CSV file
2.) Save file as window displays; The exporting report only available for Part 11
3.) Close new window

1.) Click File > Exit
2.) AquaLink4 closes

-Edit- Menu

1.) Open AquaLink4
2.) Select some data cells in the table
3.) Click Edit > Copy
4.) Open Excel and past the copied data

1.) Click Chart in the tool bar
2.) Click Edit > Copy Chart
3.) Open Paint and paste the chart

1.) Click Table in the tool bar
2.) Click Edit > Select Visible Data Rows
3.) The data visible on the table and will be highlighted in blue

1.) Click Edit > Select All
2.) All the data in the table should now be highlighted

1.) Click Edit > Columns Labels
2.) Edit Columns Labels window displays
3.) Close new window

When pasting data into columns, highlight all cells you want to paste data into and hit Ctrl V. Remember, AquaLink only allows users to paste data in custom cells for reference alongside your data returns.

-View-

1.) Click View > Table/Chart
2.) Chart should now be displayed
3.) Click View > Table/Chart
4.) Table should now be displayed

1.) Click Chart
2.) Click View > Principle Axis
3.) Principle Axis window displays
4.) Close new window

-Device-

1.) Connect an AquaLab Series 4 to your computer
2.) In Connect Via choose the Com port that the AquaLab is plugged into
3.) Click Device > Toggle Connection
4.) On the tool bar, the connect button should turn into a disconnect button
5.) Click Device > Toggle Connection
6.) Look on the tool bar, the disconnect button should turn into a connect button

1.) Collect or store some data onto the AquaLab
2.) Reconnect to the AquaLab series 4
3.) Click Device > Download Data
4.) Chart should refresh with new data added to it

1.) Click Device > Delete Data
2.) Erase ALL data window should display
3.) Close new window

Keyboard Shortcuts

You must use all of these shortcuts with AquaLink 4 open and with data loaded.

1.) Press Ctrl+Q on the keyboard, AquaLink4 should close.
2.) Select data cells and press Ctrl+C on the keyboard, this will copy your data. You can paste the copied cells into Excel or another spreadsheet.
3.) Press Ctrl+A on the keyboard, all data in the table should now be highlighted in blue.
4.) Press F1 on the keyboard to display the AquaLink Help Files window.
